The Brotteaux neighborhood, in the northeastern part of the Lyon's 6th District (69006) is named after the neighborhood's train station, built in 1858 and called Gare de Genève (‘Geneva Station') at the time. In fact, the station on the PLM (Paris-Lyon-Mediterranean) railway line actually served both Ambérieu and Geneva.
