Accomodation - Lyon 5th district

Lyon's 5^th District (69005) features Fourvière Hill, the banks of the Saône at the foot of the hill and Vieux Lyon (‘Old Lyon'). This hill, whose steep slopes literally plunge into the Saône in some areas, testifies to the city's ancient history, as here we can find the largest number of remains of the Gallo-Roman civilization. Beyond the hill itself, the 5^th District stretches over a large area of western Lyon towards Tassin-La-Demi-Lune, a particularly sought-after residential area. Bordered on the north by the 9^th District and Vaise neighborhood, and to the south by the town of Sainte-Foy-les-Lyon, this district is of interest both for its geography and for the historical sites within it.
